Bill Anderson of Andy’s Sprinkler, Drainage & Lighting

I’m not a fan of many franchised companies, especially when it comes to lawn care. Most franchises, including those in the roofing and the pest-control businesses, have marching orders from far-off company headquarters that don’t understand Texas values, much less be aware of Gulf Coast weather or soil issues. And that’s critical with anything to do with lawns.

I mention that up front, so you’ll understand why I endorse the Houston franchise of Andy’s Sprinkler, Drainage & Lighting.

Bill Anderson

First, Andy’s originated in Dallas, so we know the Texas values are there. They knew they needed a presence in Houston, so they found the perfect person in Bill Anderson, a Texas A&M graduate who has a ton of landscaping knowledge. Bill has a bachelor’s degree in horticulture and is a state-licensed irrigator. He actually went to work for Andy’s right out of college and has 15+ years of experience in landscape construction and maintenance.

Couple the Texas values with their horticultural knowledge and Andy’s business savvy and you come pretty close to a family-owned and operated business - the way we love it on GardenLine.

Andy’s for the Houston area handles everything related to sprinkler, irrigation and drainage issues. That includes fixing malfunctioning or broken valves, setting stations for optimum coverage, installing new controllers, searching for line leads, adjusting water flow and pressure ailments, and repairing rain or freeze sensors on the fritz.

They service all major brands of controllers and valves and can handle every type of drainage protocol. Lately, Bill has been focusing a lot on drainage issues resulting from the intense rains we’ve had in the past two months. If you’ve got some drainage issues, don’t wait until spring to have them addressed.

Check out this great review:

“Bill Anderson embodies the epitome of customer service. He is dedicated to excellent work for a reasonable price, and his commitment to his clients is unmatched. Having worked with Bill on several projects, I can vouch for his professionalism and top-notch work. His knowledge base of the industry, products and methods to do jobs the right way sets him apart from the competition. I would highly recommend him for any job, large or small. When you've known someone as long as I've known Bill, it's easy to be biased, but the truth comes out during important projects; and I can say that Bill's character puts him way past the other myriad of contractors with whom I've worked.”(Requested to stay anonymous)
