Last month, the New Yorker magazine suspended Jeffrey Toobin after he reportedly pleasured himself during a zoom call where they were doing an election night simulation.

Vice broke the story and reported at the time, “both people, who spoke on the condition of anonymity in order to speak freely, noted that it was unclear how much each person saw, but both said that they saw Toobin jerking off."

Toobin’s other employer, CNN, actually reported on his incident.

"Jeffrey Toobin, a prominent writer and CNN's chief legal analyst, was fired from The New Yorker on Wednesday after he accidentally exposed himself to colleagues with the New Yorker and WNYC during a Zoom call last month.

"I am writing to share with you that our investigation regarding Jeffrey Toobin is complete, and as a result, he is no longer affiliated with our company," Stan Duncan, chief people officer at Condé Nast, which owns the New Yorker, wrote in an email to employees…

Toobin declined to comment further to CNN.

A spokesperson for CNN did not immediately respond to a request for comment on Toobin's status at the network. Last month, a CNN spokesperson said that following the Zoom incident, Toobin had "asked for some time off" and that the network had granted it."

As Ellen Carmichael pointed last month, don’t forget how Toobin behaved on CNN during the Kavanaugh hearings as he made the ridiculous case that “there need not be any actual evidence against him if eye witnesses confirmed Ford’s account.”

Will be interesting to see what CNN decides to do.
