Me!

Yeah, this week’s profile is all about me! Now that I have published and distributed my new book, I can get back to other things I do love doing … speaking gigs and operating Randy Lemmon Consulting.

Speaking Engagements

September through January, I had to turn down lots of speaking requests because I was so busy writing, editing and self-publishing "New Decade Gardening – A Gulf Coast Guide." Now, though, I’m ready to take on new speaking engagements and garden talks.

If you’re the person in your garden club, homeowners association, community group or trade organization who books speakers, send an email to randy@ktrh.com with your open dates, and we can work on availabilities. Just put “Speaker Request” in the subject line, and I will send you a complete package with fees and available dates.

You should know that my speaking fee can be lowered significantly or eliminated altogether, depending on the size of the group. For example, if your group is 150 or more, I’ll usually waive the fee since I’m pretty certain a number of folks will purchase a copy of my book while I’m there. It’s normally only available at area nurseries, garden centers, feed stores and Ace Hardware. This is the first time in 16 years my book isn’t available online, so having it for sale at group talks helps get it into the hands of people who really need it.

Randy Lemmon Consulting

I’ve done a lot of on-site consulting over the past 20 years, mostly for individual homeowners. But the book and family business commitments have put that on the back burner for the past two years. Now, though, I’m ready to jump back in to that as well.

Randy Lemmon Consulting is for do-it-yourselfers who want to take care of their own landscapes, but need guidance on what stays and what goes, what’s working and not working, and how to fix situations with the help of my diagnostics. It’s not a landscape design service – I simply give you education and direction when you feel like you just don’t know where to start.

Various fee structures are set up, depending on whether you want a consultation visit or a full-blown writeup.

Send an email to randy@ktrh.com with “Consultation” in the subject line, and you’ll get a package that explains how it all works and what it costs.
