Marriages where wives earn more money than their husbands are increasing and University of Wisconsin-Madison Sociologist/Professor Dr. Christine Whelan says husbands are just fine with women coming to marriage with more experience and more income. That's the finding of a University of Wisconsin-Madison/University of Pennsylvania study that says marriages where wives make more money than their husbands are less likely to end in divorce. Dr. Whelan is saying, "There has been a major generational shift in terms of what people are looking for in a mate, and those terms play out well in what's considered to be good for a marriage as well!" What do men think of well employed wives? She says: "Now --- 'SMART is considered SEXY!' Earning potential is increasingly a must!"
