Galveston beaches are open this weekend, but officials are advising caution and reminding beachgoers to exercise social distancing. To cut back on over-crowding, eight access points are closed to vehicles through the weekend (5-9-2020 to 5-10-2020). They include:
Sunny Beach Hershey Beach 13 Mile Road 16 Mile Road
Bay Harbor Miramar Stavanger Salt Cedar
Galveston County and Coronavirus
They are all open to pedestrian traffic --- but are closed to vehicles through 9:00 PM Sunday (5-10-2020)
