Covid-19 brings two types of crimes on the rise in Houston.

Houston Police Department Chief Art Acevedo spoke briefly about two areas of crime in Houston that are on the rise. First he mentioned Burglary of a Business. "Since The Covid-19 Shut Down, the burglary of office buildings and empty restaurants in Houston is up 31%. The other crime is obviously assault, which has gone up 9%. Many of those cases are related to domestic violence"

The Chief also commented that HPD Detective and Covid-19 patient Ray Cervantes is showing progress. "He has opened his eyes and is responding to stimuli." He added that the detective still has a long way to go.
