Republicans pushing back against non-citizen voting

We told you a couple of weeks ago that there are more cities allowing non-citizens to vote in local elections. Liberals are fine with that, but complain about Russian meddling in 2016. Well, Republicans are finally starting to push back.

There is proposed legislation that would strip federal funding from states or cities that allow this. Catherine Engelbrecht at True the Vote tells KTRH that's not good enough.

“Why don’t we take a look at protecting our elections at the state and federal level and make sure that non-citizens aren’t registered,” Engelbrecht asked.

Logan Churchwell at the Public Interest Legal Foundation agrees.

“The federal government really isn’t perfectly positioned to punish a local jurisdiction over this,” he said.

Churchwell says you need to take action at the local level by voting out the people who are allowing this in the first place, you know, the same liberals who won't stop screaming about Russia.

“It’s a psychological principle. If you repeat a lie often enough it will become the truth in the minds of many. That’s what they do. They repeat it ad nauseum,” Engelbrecht explained.

In another pushback move a former California Congressman is now pushing for a state ban there against non-citizen voting.
