Hunter Biden is getting a slap on the wrist after agreeing to plead guilty to two federal charges willfully failing to pay federal income tax.
President Biden's son also has agreed to enter a pretrial diversion agreement in connection with a charge of possession of a firearm by a person who is a user or addict of illegal. These agreements usually lead to a dismissal, if the defendant complies with the conditions of the deal for a set period of time.
According to reports, U.S. Attorney for Delaware David Weiss agreed to recommend to a judge that the younger Biden receive probation for the tax crimes.
Biden has been under federal investigation since 2018. That investigation into his "tax affairs" began amid the discovery of suspicious activity reports (SARs) regarding funds from "China and other foreign nations."
