It's beginning again....for Texans that time of reverence and remembrance. February 23, 1836 is when the 13 day siege of the Alamo began. This year the tribute to the defenders of Texas liberty is expanded to note the 300th anniversary of the establishment of the Presidio San Antonio de Bexar...and the Mission San Antonio de Valero, the Alamo.
Those who make the pilgrimage to San Antonio over the next 2 weeks will see reenactments, interactive history, and we're told a more solemn atmosphere on Alamo Plaza outside the Shrine of Texas Liberty.
