Parts of the Houston area, especially to the north, could see storms Wednesday afternoon, some of which could be severe.
The timing of this is expected to come between Noon and 7pm. There is a chance for a severe wind gust or severe hail with the storms that blow in with the front Wednesday afternoon. Winds could gust to more than 60 mph and the hail could reach the size of quarters and possibly larger northwest of Harris County.
According to Space City Weather, the incoming front is likely to stall north of the city. It will help disturb the atmosphere enough to bring a chance of showers and thunderstorms into Houston, as well as some severe weather.
The odds of this occurring are not super high, but there is probably a 20 percent chance of damaging winds, hail, and/or heavy rainfall during the daytime hours. Otherwise it will be another hot and humid day.
