Christmas Wish List: A Republican Party That Cares About Saving The Country

With Christmas now less than 3 weeks away, one conservative writer and commentator has only one thing on her Christmas wish list.

Brianna Lyman, a reporter at The Federalist, says all she wants for Christmas is a Republican Party that actually cares about saving the country.

"I want Republicans to act like they won" Lyman said, "We are one year into their majority, and the only thing they can really show for it is the One Big Beautiful Bill."

Act like they won, and get things done. Like they promised on the campaign trail.

"We gave them a mandate last November" Lyman told KTRH, "And now we have less than a year left, and all that they're going to care about in congress, is whether they are going to win their seats for re-election."

It started as a Christmas wish, and now has become a New Year's resolution. One that the GOP needs to take seriously.

"All of the wish list items that we want, like codifying Trump's executive orders, codifying the DOGE cuts, impeaching activist judges, passing the SAVE Act" noted Lyman, "There are so many things that they could be doing and they haven't done them. And now I don't think they're going to do them at all."

She says they need to get things done before next year's midterms.
