Wild video out of the San Antonio area as a man clings for his life atop an SUV during a high-speed chase.
The victim on top of the vehicle was thrown off after the theif crashed the vehicle during the chase.
The victim suffered severe body injuries and was taken to the hospital in critical condition.
News4SanAntonio.com reports that Jacob Benito Zuniga, 29, was arrested:
“after he was spotted driving erratically near Toepperwein Road. He was swerving back and forth, trying to get the person on vehicle's roof to fall off. And when police approached, Zuniga tried to get away.
The whole incident started with Zuniga stealing the victim’s vehicle, according to authorities. The theft victim wasn't going to just let Zuniga steal has SUV, so he jumped on top of the vehicle in an attempt to stop Zuniga from getting away.
When confronted by officers, Zuniga attempted to flee before crashing the SUV at the intersection of Toepperwein and the IH-35 access road. The victim on top of the vehicle was thrown off during the crash…”
Zuniga was arrested for aggravated robbery, intoxication assault, and evading arrest.
