Yikes.
I’m sure the first responders have some wild stories about the strange predicaments they’ve had to rescue people from but this one has to be near the top.
The Brinnon Fire Department in Washington State detailed on Facebook their rescue of a woman who had fallen into the toilet of an outhouse
They said they were called to Mt. Walker after a woman says she fell into an outhouse toilet and could not get out.
They said the woman said that she had fallen into the toilet well after she dismantled a portion of the toilet and tried to use her dog leash to try to reach her cellphone.
She then used the dog leash to lower herself into the toilet well, but it broke, and she fell head first into it.
She told them she tried to get out by herself for about 20 minutes before calling emergency services.
The Brinnon fire department says in a statement posted to Facebook that they:
“responded to the mountain top. Upon arrival, they found the woman as described. The crews made a makeshift cribbing platform by passing them down to the patient. After making it tall enough for her to stand on, the crew pulled the victim to safety. The patient states she was uninjured and requested no transport.
The patient was washed down and given a Tyvek suit to wear. Pt. was strongly encouraged to seek medical attention after being exposed to human waste, but she only wanted to leave…
The patient was extremely fortunate not to be overcome by toxic gases or sustain injury.”
