Twenty-one-year-old Damian West was free on bond for an unlawful carry of a weapon charge.
He leads police on a high-speed chase that ended in NW Houston with a deadly crash that killed an innocent driver.
Despite being free on bond & being apart of an illegal street takeover, he’s granted a new bond for the murder charge. That bond was set at just $400,000.
ABC13 reports that West was apart of a large crowd who took over a parking lot on Kempwood Drive in northwest Houston and performed illegal stunts as part of a street takeover.
When officers arrived on scene, West took off.
They say during the chase he ran a red light and hit five different cars, killing an innocent driver.
