Biden Administration Orders New Vehicles To Average 40 MPG Starting In 2026

The Biden administration want to force you into an electric vehicle (EV).

So how are they going to go about that?

By imposing burdensome regulations on vehicles with internal combustion engines, thus driving up the cost so ultimately the added regulations will make EV car prices competitive.

Last week, the Biden White House announced that they are killing Trump’s roll back of standards and thus they will require new vehicles to average 40 mpg by 2026, up from 28 mpg.

Meanwhile this is shuttles Biden around:

Transportation Secretary Pete Buttigieg, says the rules also will help strengthen national security by making the country less dependent on foreign oil and less vulnerable to volatile gasoline prices

However, car manufacturers warn the new requirements will drive up prices up and push more people out of the already expensive new car market.

The new rule is projected to raise the price of a new vehicle by $1,087 in 2029 model year.

The American Lung Association is demanding stricter standards and wants the Biden administration to impose a zero-emission standard by 2035.
