Beto otherwise known as Wendy Davis 2.0, is now trying to make himself out to be a defender of the 2nd Amendment.
When he ran for president, he famously declared “hell yes we're gonna take your AR-15".
Last week, Beto was openly routing for failure of the power grid during the brief freeze. That didn’t happen, so he’s now looking for a new issue.
He doesn’t want to be embarrassed as badly as Wendy Davis was so he’s decided that the gun grabbing stance he took during his awful presidential run doesn’t fly with Texans.
So Beto is now laughable trying to portray himself as a defender of the 2nd Amendment.
Remember this was the guy Biden was going to appoint as his gun control czar.
Speaking at a campaign stop this week, Beto now says “I’m not interested in taking anything from anyone. What I want to make sure that we do is defend the Second Amendment.”
He adds that Gov. Abbott “turned his back on them when he signed that permitless carry bill that endangers the lives of law enforcement in a state that’s seen more cops and sheriff’s deputies gunned down than in any other."
That’s rich, the guy who “love the idea” of defunding police is now pretending that he cares about cops.
