Over the weekend, California’s Mayor Gavin Newsom along with San Francisco Mayor London Breed and L.A. Mayor Eric Garcetti all snapped photos at the Rams-49ers playoff game with Magic Johnson while maskless.
Them being maskless were in clear violation of Garcetti’s own rules.
Yes, rules for thee not for me.
So when Garcetti was asked about him clearly violating his own edicts, he laughably went with the Bill Clinton defense, saying “I’m holding my breath” when he poses maskless for photos.
He said “when people ask for a photograph, I hold my breath. I put it here, and people can see that. There’s a 0% chance of infection from that."
We’ll be sure to use that defense next time we’re on a plane and don’t feel like wearing a face diaper.
