This episode of feign outrage & cancel culture was started by AP reporter Colleen Long who tweeted “on Friday morning on a Southwest flight from Houston to Albuquerque, the pilot signed off his greeting over the public address system with the phrase”. That phrase was “Let’s Go Brandon”.
Long was so offended by the pilot's comment, she demanded access to the cockpit so she could confront him.
She wasn’t alone with her feign outrage.
CNN analyst Asha Rangappa said using the phrase was basically like pledging allegiance to ISIS.
CNN White House correspondent voiced his outrage as well:
Glenn Greenwald has more pearl clutching from blue-check mark liberals:
While pointing out their hypocrisy:
Matt Taibbi also notes the left’s silly crap writing "the bigger part of the “Let’s Go Brandon!” gag is that such outbursts during the Trump years were not only not condemned, they were celebrated, as pundits and reporters for the first time told us directly profane insults of presidents were okay. “Robert de Niro’s Comments at the Tony Awards Go Viral,” was CNN’s bemused take, in a story quoting artist Ferrari Shepard saying, “Robert de Niro is my favorite rapper."
