Awfully easy to push for criminal justice reform which results in violent criminals being repeatedly released when you have full-time security protection.
The Harris County Bond Pandemic, as Crime Stopper Andy Kahan dubbed it, has resulted in more than 200 murders with countless violent thugs being repeatedly released even for murder.
And the Commandante is one of the biggest proponents for releasing these violent criminal.
As Fox 26’s Greg Googan reports: “For the first time in Harris County history, local taxpayers are funding full-time security protection for the County Judge.”
The revelation came out during Harris County Commissioners Court yesterday after Commission Tom Ramsey asked for details about the taxpayer money being used to pay for her security posse.
The Commandante says a security detail for her is necessary because she and her staff has been threatened, she then proceeded to play the victim card saying “it is inappropriate to politicize this, putting an item on the agenda in the way of security for the County Judge, the Judge of your County and just so happens to be a woman when you well know the threats I receive.”
You see, she’s the victim here because she’s a woman, not the countless residents of Harris County who have been terrorized by the violent thugs that the Commandante wanted released under the guise of criminal justice reform or the 200 plus that have been murdered at the hands of those free on bond.
Fox 26 says they’ve asked the Commandante’s office “when the protection began, the cost of the detail assigned for security, and whether the security detail travels with the judge when she leaves Houston”.
So far, they say her office has refused to answer the questions.
