Tiger Dude Has His Bond On The Murder Charge Revoked & Is Given Higher Bond

After a day-long hearing on Friday, Fort Bend County Judge Frank Fraley revoked bond for Tiger Dude Victor Hugo Cuevas in the case of a 2017 murder.

The judge set a new bond of $300,000 for that case.

Cuevas remains in custody.

Last week Monday, Cuevas was taken into custody. He was then released on bond again on the evading arrest charge for fleeing with the tiger.

After news of the tiger incident and evading charge, the Fort Bend District Attorney's office filed a motion to revoke Cuevas’ bond on the murder case.

KHOU reports:

“Cuevas was also previously charged with murder in connection with a shooting in Fort Bend County. That shooting happened the evening of July 14, 2017 at a shopping center in the 5600 block of W. Grand Parkway. Bond was set at $750,000 for that case, and Cuevas was arrested two weeks later at an airport when returning from Mexico. He bonded out.
In November 2020, Cuevas was arrested again for bond revocation, according to Fort Bend.”

Also over the weekend, the India the tiger was turned over to authorities.

Houston police credit Mattress Mac’s wife Linda McIngvale with helping to facilitate the transfer of India to police custody.

McIngvale said she knows Victor and Gia Cuevas through a former member, but she would not call them her “friends.”

She released a statement to KHOU saying:

“at Club Westside we are a licensed facility with exotic animals, and the Cuevas’ had visited as guests of a past member where we became acquainted. I was contacted by Jarred Mears, the animal enforcement manager for BARC with the City of Houston to see if I knew them and could possibly help with the safe return of the tiger. I was able to arrange, through the help of the Cuevas’ for the tiger to be located and anonymously delivered to us where BARC was on stand-by to receive. We are happy that the tiger is now safe and with the sanctuary and appreciate the Cuevas’ help in this matter.”

India was taken to his new home on Sunday, the Cleveland Amory Black Beauty Ranch in Murchison (North Texas).
