Again, Democrats won’t ever hesitate to play the race card on one another especially when seeking more power.
Virginia’s Democrat Lt. Gov. Justin Fairfax says former Gov. Terry McAuliffe and other fellow Democrats treated him like “George Floyd and Emmett Till" when he demanded he resign over sexual assault allegations.
Fairfax is now running for governor and made those remarks during a gubernatorial debate while standing alongside McAuliffe and several other Democratic candidates this week.
He said “everyone on that stage called for my immediate resignation, including Terry McAuliffe three minutes after a press release came out. He treated me like George Floyd. He treated me like Emmett Till. No due process. Immediately assumed my guilt."
Till was a Black 14-year-old who was lynched in Mississippi in 1955 after he was accused of offending a white woman.
Fairfax was accused of rape and assault in 2019 by a former college classmate. Another woman came forward to say she was assaulted by Fairfax in her hotel room at the 2004 Democratic National Convention.
Fairfax compared the women to false rape allegations by white women that led to the lynching of Black men, despite both of his accusers being Black.
