The Democrats are terrified about having Joe Biden in an unscripted, uncontrolled environment which is why they keep him in the basement. When he does do interviews, he appears to read from a script and often gets lost or confused.
They are looking for an escape hatch so Biden doesn’t have to debate.
Yesterday, Pelosi said I don’t think that there should be any debates.I do not think that the president of the United States has comported himself in a way that anybody has any association with truth, evidence, data and facts."
Bottom line: she doesn’t have any confidence in Biden’s ability. Expect other Democrats to parrot Pelosi’s talking points.
