Food Truck Owner's Message To Public On Ordering Through 3rd Party Apps

This makes you sick to your stomach if you’ve ordered through Grubhub or any of these 3rd party apps during this pandemic, thinking you were supporting your local eatery.

The owner of a Chicago pizza truck posted an invoice from GrubHub on Facebook that went viral.

Giuseppe Badalamenti, the owner of Chicago Pizza Boss, posted the invoice that shows $1,100 of orders with the restaurant not even getting $400 back.

He wrote, “Stop believing you are supporting your community by ordering from a 3rd party delivery company. Out of almost $1,100 of orders. Your Restaurant you are trying to support receives not even $400.It is almost enough to pay for the food.”

He adds “the small guys don't have negotiating power and the leverage the big guys do but do not want to be forgotten about. These companies make your customers their customers. It is predatory to a degree.”

So phone in your order directly to the restaurant or food truck instead of using the app.
