Houston Mayor Sylvester Turner has a message for crooks and criminals during this pandemic: “chill” and “wait until” pandemic is over to go back to commiting the crimes.
During a press briefing yesterday, Mayor Turner said:
"Let me just make my plea. Until the coronavirus is resolved, criminals take a break, ok!
Stay home, ok? Stay home. And don't commit any crimes!
And that way, they'll stay safe and out of jail, and police officers can stay safe and go home to their families, ok?
So everybody chill! Crooks, criminals, you chill! Wait until the coronavirus is over! ok, and then we'll all be ok!”
Yeah and I'm sure the criminals are listening to him.
Crook #1: "hey let's rob that place"
Crook #2: "we can't, the mayor said to 'chill' and wait til this pandemic is over".
Crook #1: "you're right, good call".
