2020 Democrat hopeful and notable gun-grabbing Senator Kamala Harris (D-Ca) says she's a gun owner. She keeps a firearm in her house for personal protection.
After making a recent campaign stop in Iowa, Kamala told a group of reporters, "I am a gun owner, and I own a gun for probably the reason that a lot of people do: for personal safety."
And that's all well and good - most reasonable people don't blame her for owning a gun. She has a right, after all. The part of this statement that should bother you is her history of advocating for gun control.
Harris has fully supporting the banning of firearms commonly referred to as "assault weapons", which is a statement that means nothing. Guns are amorphous beings. They can't assault someone because they're inanimate. You'd never refer to an eating utensil as an "assault fork" if it was used to hurt someone, would you?
Harris is fine with gun ownership for affluent prosecutors who live in gated communities on the West coast. She just doesn't want rednecks like you to own them. After all, your political opinions don't resemble hers. She deems you an extremist.
So hand over your guns to the government, conservatives. Do as she says, not as she does.
