These are the top 30 gifts Dads actually want this Father’s Day

Dads really want a family meal, a bottle of bourbon and a new watch for Father’s Day – but they’re expecting nothing more than a pair of socks, according to a study.

Researchers who polled 2,000 dads found three quarters expect to receive a gift this Sunday – and think their kids should spend an average of £20 ($27) on it.

Photography accessories, a pizza oven and power tools are also on dads’ wish lists this year - along with a supercar experience, bicycle gear and a trip to the pub.

Other desired items include football tickets, fancy coffee, vinyl records, headphones and beard oil.

It also emerged half of dads would be disappointed if they didn’t receive a present this Father’s Day.

Amid this, 44 per cent go one step further to ensure they get what they want - and tell their children exactly what to buy them.
