Lawmakers like Congresswoman Liz Cheney took their shot, and paid the price. Cheney was recently voted out of her leadership position within the Republican caucus.
Even though there is a split between progressive and liberals in the Democrats, the mainstream media ignores it in order to play up the GOP split.
