Shelley Luther's ordeal is over, and now she's speaking out.
Luther, the Dallas area salon owner that re-opened in April, and was eventually jailed for refusing to apologize to a judge for what she did, sat down with KTRH's Sean Hannity on the Fox News Channel last night. Luther explained why she would not say she was sorry to Judge Eric Moye for trying to feed her children.
"That was the last thing I was going to do, honestly," she said. " ... I just couldn't, I couldn't bring myself to apologize."
Luther was released after a series of moves that started with a change in the executive order closing salons in March. Governor Greg Abbott removed jail time as a punishment for violating the order. Once that change was made the Texas Supreme Court ordered Luther's release.
