A Ugandan runner thought he was about to win a big race. Until he didn't.
Jacob Kiplimo was closing in on winning the 95th San Silvestre de Sao Paulo Road Race in Brazil on Tuesday, setting a new record in the process.
As he approached the finish line, Kiplimo, just 19 years old, raised his arms a tad early in celebration. Moments later, Kibiwott Kandie passed him to finish first by just inches.
You know what the old saying on ABC's Wild World of Sports was, "The thrill of victory; the agony of defeat."
