You can’t exactly call it window shopping….but it was a fun walk through more than 200 vendors at the Market Days in my hometown on Saturday. The holiday wreaths, baked goods, home canned offerings were abundant, along with clothing and jewelry, and true works of art in gourds, water colors, paintings. Besides the buying though, there’s real fun in the ingenuity of many of the offerings.I like the old cast iron skillets that look brand new after going through a cleaning process that involves electrolysis…. The wood lathes and carvers were busy creating stuff out of hackberry ….butcher blocks and lazy susans, and those soup bowl hot pads for in and out of the microwave.Lots of feel good to share in the greetings of friends old and new…jak se mas, Czech for what’ up?How ya doin”
