In the end, Gerrit Cole did what he has done since the end of May. He dominated.
Cole went eight innings in Game 5 of the ALDS last night at Minute Maid Park, allowing one run on two hits while striking out ten Rays in a 6-1 win to end the series.
Cole had some help from his offense, as the Astros scored four runs in the first inning, and added two more in the eighth on homer runs from Michael Brantley and Jose Altuve.
The Astros now advance to the American League Championship Series against the New York Yankees. That series will start tomorrow night. But before that, check out some of the best moments from last night's celebration below.
