They are children of fallen heroes and the legacy lives.The Fire Department of New York is graduating a new class of firefighters in two weeks,.and among the class are 13 children of firefighters who were murdered in the terrorist attacks on 9/11. Twelve sons and one daughter of 9/11 fallen carrying an undimmed torch.
That’s what I will think about on this 18th anniversary of our national tragedy; .of the fallen and families and friends who have missed them every day of their lives since. I’ll think of a country that came together in those immediate days after and the countless Americans I don’t know who never forget, and live and even give their lives in honor of liberty and justice.
