FRYER FEATURE: HOT AND HEAVY

It was heavy, and as hot as a Willie Nelson 4th of July picnic. If you don’t copy that, you are not the generation of those in The Woodlands Sunday evening and night.

It was a return to boomer times with The Doobie Brothers and Santana on the Cynthia Woods Mitchell stage.A packed crowd did include some younger folk, but the majority were living their youth of some 50 years ago. Some, like my former Channel 13 co-worker Jaime, brought his twin girls and wife Celeste to celebrate their 29th anniversary. My workout friend Karrie; she’s timeless.

We’ve posted a few photos.Whether it was the audience dancing in their seats or the guys onstage, age does bring even greater things to those already blessed with talent; virtuosity!

Why I never saw Santana live before; can’t explain. But now I have on a hot and heavy Houston night.
