A Muslim soldier is suing the U.S. Army after she was forced to remove her hijab.
Sgt. Cesilia Valdovinos was given permission to wear the hijab, but her superior still pulled her to the side forcing her to remove it to if she was wearing her hair properly underneath.
She was later demoted to Specialist as a result of the event.
She put in a claim with the Military Equal Opportunity Office (MEO), but they said the incident was "unsubstantiated".
Sgt. Valdovinos is now seeking legal action against the Army claiming she has been threatened and called a terrorist.
