The Food and Drug Administration is greenlighting the first immunotherapy drug to treat breast cancer. Tecentriq from the Swiss drugmaker Roche was approved Friday for treating advanced triple-negative breast cancer, which makes up 15 percent of cases. It will be given with chemotherapy, and will boost the immune system's ability to spot and kill cancer cells.
The drug costs around 13-thousand dollars per month.
