(Colorado Springs, CO) -- A Colorado Springs sports store that chose to boycott Nike products last year is closing its doors. The owner of Prime Time Sports announced on social media yesterday that the store in the Chapel Hills Mall has begun a liquidation sale.
The store has taken very strong stands toward disrespect to the military and veterans, choosing to stop selling Nike products last year because that company ran an ad campaign featuring Colin Kaepernick. The Facebook post offered thanks to customers for 21 "mostly good" years and asked for their help to liquidate as soon as possible.
