An investigation is underway after a driver was shot and killed by a Brazoria County Sheriff’s deputy following a chase Monday morning in Lake Jackson.
According to the Brazoria County Sheriff’s Office, this started as a traffic stop. The driver failed to stop and led deputies on a chase, which ended in a garage at a residence.
Officials have not released many details about what happened after the chase ended, but investigators say the deputy encountered the driver and discharged his firearm, hitting the driver.
