It was a violent night across Houston, with at least two deadly shootings.
A 21-year old was shot and killed outside an apartment complex on the north side. Investigators are also searching for a possible vehicle that was seen leaving the area around the time of the gunfire.
The victim’s mother, identified only as Yolanda, told investigators she believes her son may have been targeted and set up before the shooting.
“The young lady ended up taking his life,” the victim’s mother said. “Whoever she was with ... she stood over him and shot him 29 times.”
Elsewhere, a 17-year old was killed, and another teen injured, in a shooting that took place at a meetup on the southeast side. One person was detained at the scene.
