With a week to go before the runoff election, President Donald Trump says he will make an endorsement in the US Senate race between incumbent John Cornyn and Attorney General Ken Paxton.
Trump says he will be making an announcement around 12:30-1pm on his Texas Senate endorsement. He said he's had his mind made up for a "very long time," and "it's appropriate."
Cornyn and Paxton have been locked in a heated, and expensive race. New polling out this week shows that, in a general election Senator Cornyn would fare slightly better than Paxton against the democrat, James Talarico.
