NOW: Reports Iran Says They are 'Focused on Ending the War'

Sunday- Initial reports say Iran has responded to Pakistani mediators in regard to the latest U.S. peace proposal and says they are 'focused on ending the war and ensuring security' in the Strait of Hormuz but no mention of the nuclear program. The news comes as UK maritime reports say a British cargo ship was attacked off the coast of Qatar earlier this morning-- with an unknown projectile hitting the vessel causing an explosion and fire; that was contained.

The Trump administration has remained firm the Administration is focused on ensuring national security as the Islamic Regime can no longer obtain a nuclear weapon.

In the meantime, Secretary of State Marco Rubio and Special Envoy Steve Witkoff are scheduled to meet with Qatar's Prime Minister to discuss ways to bring stability to the region.

Saturday- Tehran said it is reviewing a U.S. proposal to end the conflict but warned attacks in the Strait of Hormuz "cannot be ignored." Iranian state media and other outlets reported that an Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps commander said missiles and drones were "locked on" to U.S. targets and ships in the region, warning forces were "awaiting the order to fire."

The statement, attributed to IRGC Aerospace Force commander Brig. Gen. Seyyed Majid Mousavi, carried by Press TV and picked up by other international outlets.

"The missiles and aerospace drones are locked on the enemy, and we are waiting for the firing order," Mousavi said in a statement posted on social media, according to the reports.
