Houston City Council Takes Up Amended Anti-ICE Ordinance

In case you missed it, ahead of today's Houston City Council vote, the Houston Chronicle's editorial board weighed in, making it crystal clear whom they support.

The Chron is calling on City Council to back the illegal aliens.

"The Chronicle will always be biased, and now they're far left biased, and they'll always be that way" said former City Council member, Greg Travis, "It happened ever since we went from a two paper city, to a one paper city."

And from news, to just pure DNC propaganda.

Which is why the 'paper' is backing local Democrats, who will decide whether or not to amend the anti-ICE ordinance that was passed two weeks ago.

"If you're not going to abide by federal law and state law, then you're not going to get the money that comes with it" Travis told KTRH.

That's because Governor Greg Abbott has vowed to withhold $114 million public safety grants, that were part of a contract that the city agreed to. The new ordinance violates that agreement.

"Mayor Whitmire disappointed me, he did buckle" noted Travis, "He buckled the first time when he voted with them. He should have mustered the votes to defeat that the first time. He knew better, and they got it wrong."

We will now wait and see if they get it right, today.
