A Biden administration illegal alien in Texas is now in jail and may stay there a while, after being found earlier this month driving a car belonging to a coworker who had earlier been found beaten to death.
The 26-year-old Venezuelan had been encountered and released at the Southern US border in 2023.
Then on April 12th that man, Josue Abraham Chirino-Leonice, was found by police after a search when the man he was renovating a Houston home with was found murdered in North Houston.
The murdered man's family alerted police that their relative's truck has obviously been stolen.
As of now, US Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) has put a hold on Chiniro-Leonice, who remains in jail in connection with the killing, temporarily forcing local officials to keep him in jail while draws up paperwork in an attempt to have additional charges filed against him.
The ICE request means it's likely if Chiniro-Leonice is eligible for release from Harris County Jail he will be turned over to federal authorities on immigration charges.
