Jane Long Academy has been placed on lockdown this morning following a police chase nearby.
According to HPD, officers began pursuing a vehicle at Clarewood Drive and Hilcroft around 8:15am this morning, and the suspect then fled on foot, and was possibly in the area surrounding the school.
The school will be on lockdown until the suspect has been found. Houston ISD Police Department says their officers are on the scene.
