Cypress- The Harris County Sheriff's Office says a man has been taken into custody after authorities say he shot and killed his estranged wife, fired at officers, and got into a swat standoff near the intersection of Cypress Falls Drive and Fairwood Springs Drive.
Authorities said a 44-year-old woman was shot and killed by her estranged husband during the disturbance, and the suspect fled the scene. He was later located in the area by Precinct 4 and the Texas Department of Public Safety, investigators said.
Reportedly, there were two kids in the home, a 6-year-old and 18-year-old, at the time of the shooting. The kids were not injured. The investigation is ongoing.
