The left not only wants to protect illegal aliens who broke U.S. law, but now apparently wants to compensate them for their trouble. During a congressional hearing last week, far-left Washington Congresswoman Pramila Jayapal proposed the idea of reparations for illegals and their families who have been impacted by the Trump administration's immigration crackdown. Jayapal also called for prosecutions for those carrying out Trump's agenda. "They need to be held to account for the trauma that they have created," she said. "And we are going to have to have some form of reparation for the kids and families that have been traumatized through all of this."
Jayapal's comments are just the latest example of Democrat efforts to undermine the Trump administration's crackdown, which has been largely successful despite the constant opposition. Beyond that, her use of the word "trauma" is insulting to those who have had loved ones murdered and sexually assaulted by those in the country illegally. "This is absolutely insane," says Maria Espinoza with The Remembrance Project. "And it is very hurtful to every single angel family whose loved one was killed by an illegal alien...there are no reparations for those families."
"You want to know trauma? You talk with those families," she continues.
As for calls to prosecute those behind Trump's immigration crackdown, Espinoza wants to flip the script. "I think it should be just the opposite," she tells KTRH. "These politicians who aid and abet illegal aliens should be investigated and prosecuted accordingly, because they are doing the opposite of what they swore an oath to, which is to serve we the people and to the Constitution."
