The serving of an arrest warrant by law officers turned violent on Houston's southeast side Monday.
An agent of the Texas Attorney General's office was joined by Houston Police officers and others in trying to arrest a man along Belbay St. near Bellfort at Mykawa about 10:30 am.
But the suspect resisted and barricaded himself inside a building with a rifle, forcing officers to call for help including the SWAT team.
No officers were injured in the incident, but one officer did fire his gun on the suspect after being threatened, according to police.
Houston police are piecing together the details and are joined by Texas Department of Public Safety and Harris County Precinct 7 Constable's deputies in the investigation.
