As Republicans continue to try and play nice with the Democrats, one political writer is trying to send a strong message. That Republicans will continue losing until they finally realize that power isn't evil.
"You have the majority and people voted you into the majority to actually govern, which at the end of the day means exercising power" said Nathan Stone, political writer for The Federalist.
So why are Republicans so afraid to use their voter-given power?
"I think that some people, like I implied in the piece" Stone told KTRH, "It's like they're scared of power, they're a little too timid."
And, there are others who are still living in the 80's, believing that if they do things to help the Democrats, the Dems will do the same. Needless to say, those days are over.
"The Republicans need to understand that we are at an inflection point" noted Stone, "If the Democrats get back on top, they're going to come down hard and fast on the country."
Simply put, if Republicans don't want to get anything done, the Democrats will be more than happy to do so.
