Valentine's Day Spending is Projected to Hit a Record $29 Billion Dollars

The National Retail Federation projects Valentines Day spending will peak at $29 billion surpassing $27 billion in 2025.

Despite the cutbacks, the report shows overall online spending continues to rise for many consumers. Almost half of those surveyed said they are spending more online each month than they were a year ago. About 17% reported spending $100 to $199 more per month, 16% said they spend $50 to $99 more, and 6% said their monthly online spending has increased by $500 or more. Practical gifts ranked highly. While 30% said romantic gifts feel the most thoughtful, 69% said practical gifts are just as or more thoughtful. Respondents were also more likely to favor multiple small gestures over a single large one, by a margin of 25% to 11%.

Booming sales at Christmas, The DOW surpasses 50,000 points and now a record Valentine’s Day too? When reports from the mainstream liberal media suggest it’s a doomsday economy.

Kramer says depending on the news outlet you tune into it likely dictates consumer confidence in the face of lower gas prices and lower grocery prices- 2 major daily expenses- Americans you would think would notice.

As tax season is around the corner, the big, beautiful bill will stimulate the economy. “There will be additional fiscal stimulus from that bill that putting money in people’s pockets.” He said.

Kramer says the country is divided in 2 and depending on your news outlet of choice you are likely confident or fearful. The Dems are negative and don’t really offer a message of growth. They also mention "Government Shutdown" more than the Trump administration does, in fact- they are the side that publicly expresses hope in avoiding a shutdown. How about that? There are millions of Americans on SNAP and yet the Democrats throw those 2 words around as leverage.

Also, people don’t always do what they say they will do the surveys. “People are saying well I don’t feel confident I don’t feel very good about the direction of this country. They hang up the phone after the survey and say let’s go book that hotel room, let's have a nice Valentine’s Day." Kramer said.

At the end of the day, voters care about the money in their pockets. As Trump pushes affordability- lowering prices at the gas pump and the grocery store, making moves to lower the federal mortgage rate and the latest real estate market reports showing it is a buyer-friendly market- let's hope more will take notice.
