Texas Homeland Security Plan: We'll Be Paying For Biden Disaster For Years

Governor Greg Abbott, along with the Texas DPS have officially launched the new 'Texas Homeland Security Strategic Plan', and the good news is, it's set to run through 2030.

The bad news? It means Texas taxpayers will continue paying to clean-up the Biden-border disaster.

"We're going to see a lot of that damage for many years to come, unfortunately" said Art Del Cueto, a border security advisor and 21-year veteran of the U.S. Border Patrol.

Thankfully he says, Texas is leading the way, and not letting it's guard down.

"Thank God that it's getting done in Texas, because I can tell you that areas like California, Arizona and New Mexico, are not getting that same support by some of the local authorities" Del Cueto told KTRH.

In his “Letter from the Governor", Abbott said “The past five years have demonstrated the breadth and severity of the homeland security challenges facing Texas."

The new plan outlines several initiatives for state protection, and goals within the plan fall into six categories: Prevent, Protect, Mitigate, Respond, Recover and Enable.

The other key, is that it's in place for the next five years, which means Texas will be secure even if there's a change in the White House.

"This can all go away in one election year, and that's what people need to realize" Del Cueto noted, "Texas doing this is important because it solidifies them in a position to have safe borders, not mattering who gets elected afterwards."

The plan will also include AI, cameras, and drones.
