What Should We Expect From The Fed Under Kevin Warsh?

After months of speculation, President Trump has picked Kevin Warsh to be the next Chairman of the Federal Reserve, replacing Jerome Powell.

"He's definitely a great pick, probably the best of all the ones that were under consideration" said EJ Antoni, economist with the Heritage Foundation, "He's somebody who understands that economic growth is not what causes inflation. The government spending, borrowing, and printing too much money is what causes inflation and he gets that."

The move comes after a year of feuding between President Trump and Jerome Powell over cutting interest tates.

"In other words, he's exactly the opposite of Jerome Powell, and that makes me very optimistic because I think we'll get exactly the opposite results, which is good" Antoni told KTRH.

So what should we expect from the Fed moving forward under Kevin Warsh?

"I think we can expect the Fed to no longer be doing everything it can just for Wall Street, but instead to be helping out main street, finally" noted Antoni.

If Kevin Warsh is confirmed by the Senate, he will take over when Jerome Powell's tenure as Chair comes to an end in May.
